Typica's Eileen Chang

After the encounter with Typica, we entered Typica and ordered two ice-dripped coffee. The owner recommended to serve them one by one so that we could taste different coffee at different time. This is the secone cup, Eileen Chang.

The owner explained to us that this coffee was created after she came back from Shanghai trip. It is because she likes Eileen Chang and Eileen Chang has a very deep love relation with Shanghai.

How will this coffee taste like? I, who dislike coffee but fall in love with ice-dripped coffee after I tasted it years back, ordered this Eileen Chang without a moment of thought.

Color: Impenetrable chocolate

Smell: First feeling is that this coffee is undescribable complex that bitterness is mixing with sweetness. Give it a few smelling, finally able to smell the strong bitterness smell of arabica and the sweetness of fruit combination. Still, it is an undistinguishable smell. A coffee that is hard to understand.

Taste: Very bitter, but can taste the sweetness, a very complex taste.

Typica's Luwak Peaberry Coffee

After the encounter with Typica, we entered Typica and ordered two ice-dripped coffee. The owner recommended to serve them one by one so that we could taste different coffee at different time. This is the first cup, the Luwak Peaberry Coffee.

The owner explained to us that this coffee is made with Luwak's Liberica coffee bean. Liberica coffee bean is born in Malaysia, it will taste like cempedak. Really?

Color: Transparent chocolate

Smell: Bitterness of coffee is mixed with sweetness of berry

Taste: Coffee reaches the frontier of the tounge, it is tasted like longan, like alcohol when it reaches the middle of the tongue and finally bitterness towards the inner part of the tongue. The bitterness is mild but cafeine is very strong.

Ampang

Dream Chasing

In movie "Up in the Air", there is a scene where the main actor provide these questions/statements about dream:
- Kids love athletes because they follow their dreams.
- How much did they first pay to give up your dream?
- When you are going to stop and comes back to do what makes you happy?

Give it a thought on why the startup pay was much more important that your dream was given up. Was it because you need to earn for a living? Then why was it not a choice for you to continue to pursue your dream when you had had sufficient earning for living? Was it the society pressure on what you should do? Was it society definition of what a success is? Was it that you had fell into the comfort zone?

If your dream is awake now, let's take the first step to go after your dream. Let's not wait. :)

Ancient saying that we bow for living,  why can't we bow for dream?

------

Posted this in facebook and get different response from friends. There were making fun ones, corrective ones, hinting ones, seriously answer ones, debating ones.

Making fun ones, "For dreams, it is to put full force", "Yea, you can, but at least you must have some meat". Haha.

Corrective ones, "Hello, the idiom is 'don't bow for living' ". Oh ya, that's true, haha. Oppsss...

Hinting ones, "Dreams should be just in dream only, why want to bow?". Does this question hinting that dream is not meant to go after?

Serious answer ones, "Live for dream, no regret in life! Lots of people get regretted only at moment just before death..", "It is your own choice, easy+regrets or challenging+fulling".

Debating ones as one example below:
"Because dreams can't earn you a living."
Me: "Why are you so sure?"
"Reason is simple, which one is more important when you are hungry, dream or living?"
Me: "Why then it is not possible to bow for the living and at the same time bow for dream as well?"
"That is definitely possible, as long as your waist does not get broken." He is making joke here. haha.
3rd party: "Just pick the dream that can yield at least enough for your living then. :)"
Me: "Totally agree." Finally someone understands what I am trying to convery.
"Farmer or chef?"
3rd party: "If those are your dreams, why not?"
"Those two are a bit more realistic and closer to earning for living."

Interesting replies. :)

Focus on what you like to do, you will find out that you always get inspired without realizing it and you will also find out some meaning of life from within...

A dance won't be amazed with other better than you, but will be extraordinary with the whole team performing well.

How to practice reading

Starts with what you like, starts with what you curious with, starts with the books that relate you the most. If hair styling is your passion, read books related to hair. I brought a book wrote by a cafe owner who is passionate in coffee. In this book, she shared about her passion towards the coffee and also the footprint she left with the coffee. The name of the book is "Typica, do the things you like". I read this book to fulfill my curiosity on the deepness of the cafe owner's passion towards the coffee.

Reading is very interesting. The more you read, the more wide will your eyesight be, the more creativity you will get, the more you know how other thinks about certain things and hence you can see the same thing with even more different perspective, then understand better the incidents and people around you.

Therefore, if you can, embrace reading and you will definitely benefit from it. :)

Knowledge & Help

All the while, I red to understand myself more and also to understand this world better. Now I realize that to gain more knowledge is also to help people in need whenever it is necessary.

[Garden] Taman Saujana Hijau @ Putrajaya

Our plan to cycle in KL city during Sunday morning had to be postponed because of work, but we had free time on Monday. Then, we found this public garden located within Presint 11 of Putrajaya which is apparently famous for cycling as well. So, on Monday, we set off to this garden.

This garden is surprisingly beautiful and well-maintained. It is "hanging" on a hill, like a garden in the sky. Since it is on the hill, the views are spectacular with Puchong city view, Serdang city view, Putrajaya view and the residency views surround this hill. The experience is quite like standing on the Mount Eden at Auckland, New Zealand looking at the surrounding cities. [NOTE: Stay tune for update on Mount Eden @ Auckland]

It felt like we were in New Zealand when we were in this garden. The walking, jogging or cycling path is in perfect conditions, smooth and clear of weeds. There are pine trees, cypress trees, beautiful flowers and other attractive plants planted along the path. Each plants is labelled to educate the visitors about who they are, it is very educational. Pines and cypresses, those could be few reasons why we felt like in New Zealand.

Aside from walking, cycling and jogging, visitors can also do some simple hike with readily made wooden staircases. Starting from the bottom of the hill, with some walking distance and then to the top of the hill. Then, enjoy the city views at the top of the hill as well as the European garden.

There are simple seats available in few spots with beautiful plants as background for visitors to enjoy the views and the breeze. There are also special rest stops with fresh flowers/plants as decoration. Couples can come here for nice memory photos or even for wedding photos.

There are three themed garden here. Europe, English and Oriental. People can choose to come here for a leisure picnic with one of those as their choice. It would be a different experience in this unique garden. People will definitely love it. Totally envy people who lives nearby who get to enjoy this garden as often as they want.

[Food Diary] Polo Bun @ Old Town White Coffee

The best Polo Bun I ever eaten was from Old Town White Coffee. However, it is not easy to find a good one from any Old Town White Coffee. Recently, I finally found it in Jalan Kuching branch after Aman Suria branch closed.

The bun is heated to a acceptable temperature by human mouth. It is cut into half and there is a thick slide of butter sandwiched in between the halves. Best time to eat is when it is served before the butter melted. The bite is started with soft feel of the Polo Bun and ended with hard feel toward the middle of the bun. It is like eating an ice-cream. The sweetness followed with butter mixing with the bun. Perfect!
